Refund & Return Policy

We want you to feel completely confident when ordering from Lio. This policy sets out your rights, our procedures, and the few exceptions that apply — so there are no surprises if you ever need to return a product.

1. Your Right of Withdrawal (EU & UK)

If you are located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the legal right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without providing a reason.

  • You must notify us of your decision to withdraw within this 14-day window.
  • After notifying us, you have a further 14 days to return the product to us.
  • Refunds are issued within 14 days of us receiving and inspecting the returned items, using your original payment method.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the product is defective, damaged in transit, or incorrectly supplied.

2. Condition of Returned Items

To be eligible for a refund, returned items must be:

  • Unused and in their original, unworn condition
  • Fully sealed in their original packaging, with all seals intact
  • Returned with all included accessories, inserts, and documentation

For example, if you are returning a Lio Device or Starter Kit, the original seals on the device box must not have been broken or peeled. A photo of the unopened mailing package is sufficient as proof if you have not opened it at all.

3. Non-Returnable Items

Because Lio is a product that comes into direct contact with the mouth, we cannot accept returns or issue refunds on any opened Cores, Refills, or Devices. This is a strict hygiene and safety standard, and applies regardless of how lightly the product has been used.

The following are also non-returnable:

  • Opened Cores, Refill Packs, or any aromatherapy consumables
  • Devices where the seal has been broken or the product has been inhaled from
  • Free gifts or items received as part of a promotion
  • Gift cards and digital products

Bundles and Journey Packs must be returned as a complete, sealed set. If any single item within a bundle has been opened, we are unable to accept the return of the remaining items — the bundle was purchased as one product and must be returned in full.

4. How to Start a Return

To initiate a return within the eligibility window above, email our support team at support@breathelio.com with the following:

  • Your order number
  • The reason for your return
  • Clear, well-lit photos of the items you wish to return, showing that the seals are intact. If the outer mailing package is still unopened, a single photo of the sealed package is enough.

Our team will respond within 24 hours with return instructions and the correct return address for your region.

5. Return Shipping & Fees

  • Original shipping fees paid at checkout are non-refundable, except where the return is due to a defective or incorrectly supplied product.
  • Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error or a manufacturing defect.
  • We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping service. We cannot be held responsible for returned items that are lost in transit to us.
  • Returned items must be shipped back within 14 days of us approving your return request.

6. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact support@breathelio.com within 5 days of delivery. Include:

  • Your order number
  • A clear description of the issue
  • Photos of the damage, defect, or incorrect item, including the packaging

We will arrange a free replacement or a full refund, including any shipping costs associated with the defective item. Please retain the item and its packaging until your case is resolved, as we may need additional information to process your claim.

7. Delivery Issues

Delivery timeframes shown at checkout are estimates and may vary based on destination, carrier performance, and customs processing.

  • If a shipment is confirmed lost by the carrier, we will offer a free replacement or a full refund.
  • We are not responsible for delays or non-delivery caused by: incorrect addresses provided by the customer, failed delivery attempts, refused parcels, or customs holds and import restrictions.
  • If a parcel is returned to us because it was undeliverable or refused, we will refund the product value, but original and return shipping costs may be deducted.

8. International Orders, Customs & Duties

For orders shipped outside the EU and UK, any applicable customs duties, import taxes, and handling fees are the responsibility of the customer. These are set by the destination country and are not included in the price you pay at checkout.

If a shipment is refused or returned due to unpaid duties or customs issues, we reserve the right to deduct shipping and handling costs from any refund issued.

9. Refunds & Processing Times

  • Refunds are processed within 14 days of us receiving and inspecting your return.
  • Refunds are always issued to the original payment method used at checkout. If that payment method is no longer valid, we will issue a store credit of equal value.
  • Depending on your bank or card provider, it may take an additional 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.

10. Retail & Third-Party Purchases

If you purchased Lio from a retail store, pharmacy, or stockist, please contact that retailer directly and follow their returns policy. We are unable to process returns for products purchased outside of breathelio.com.

If you purchased Lio through Amazon or another online marketplace, please initiate your return directly through that platform, as our support team does not have access to those orders.

11. Promotional & Sale Items

Certain promotional, limited-edition, or deeply discounted items may be non-returnable at Lio's discretion. Any such restrictions will be clearly stated on the product page or in the promotion's terms before you complete your purchase.
